The Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi has vowed to prove says prove to Nigerians that he is the actual winner of the presidential election.



Following the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declaration of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Bola Tinubu on Wednesday as the winner of the presidential poll with a total votes of 8,794,726 votes as against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which had the second-highest figure with 6,984,52 votes while Peter Obi of Labour Party (LP) secured 6,101,533 votes.


Addressing a press conference on Peter Obi on addressing the press on Thursday in Abuja, promise to explore all legal avenues at its best to recover his mandate, declares the current presidential election on 25th February, 2023 as the “most controversial” in the country’s history.


Hear him, “We have elections coming on the 11th. We enjoin you to go out and vote,” he said.


Obi said he and Datti Baba-Ahmed, his running mate, are “committed” to the cause of a new Nigeria.


“We will work for that new Nigeria that is possible. Datti and I remain committed to that new Nigeria,” he said.


“It is my belief that for you to answer “you excellency”, the process through which you arrive to office must be excellent.”


Present at the press conference were also; Julius Abure, the national chairperson of Labour Party (LP), and Akin Osuntokun, Director-general of the presidential campaign, were also present at the briefing.
