The NCDMB Board has today on Tuesday 22nd August, 2023 commissioned and handed-over an ICT Center to the Northern Annang Secondary Commercial School, Utu, Etim Ekpo, Etim Ekpo LGA, Akwa Ibom State.
The Principal of the school Elder Michael Udofia in his welcome address thanked the Board for the ICT Center and prayed God to bless the Board to continue to do more.
Dr. Uduak Obot, Zonal Coordinator, Akwa Ibom/Cross River Zone, NCDMB, in his speech charged the staff and students to make optimal use of the ICT centre. He enjoined the school and community to guard the facility as it is theirs to keep.
In same manner, Madam Angela Okoro General Manager, Corporate Communications/Zonal Coordination, NCDMB, in her remarks on behalf of the Executive Secretary explained the explained the workings of the Board and shared some Human Capital Development Initiatives of the Board.
She went further to urge the staff and students of the school to use the ICT centre and protect it to serve the purpose for which it was built.
The ICT center is noted to comprise of 30 Desktop computers, one desktop computer at server unit, a 20kVA generator, 25 solar panels, two 20kVA inverters, 30 pieces of battery, 31 desks, 31 seats, 2 stools, 1 printer, 1 scanner, 3 ACs, 1 e-Board, a router and a dish for internet services.
