The President and Chairman of Council, Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), Gabriel Idahosa, FCA,  has described Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1fm as a ‘big brand’ in the broadcast industry in Nigeria with its travel advisory which has helped commuters reduce travel time.

 

The LCCI Boss, represented by  Prince Abimbola Olashore, Vice President / Chairman, Trade Promotion Board, stated this when he led members of the council on a courtesy/business visit to the station recently.

 

Idahosa requested a collaborative relationship with the Lagos Traffic Radio in a bid to reposition the Organised Private Sector, increase access to business information and create awareness among the public on its preparations for the 2024 edition of the Lagos International Trade Fair.

 

In his response, the General Manager of Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1fm, Tayo Akanle appreciated the LCCI Boss for his commendation based on the Station’s positive impact on listeners, ascribing the unprecedented achievements recorded by the station to consistency in service delivery.

 

Akanle averred that the Station is positively adding value to Lagosians’ lives and is ready to partner with LCCI by creating avenues to engage the LCCI Council executives on live Programmes as well as broadcast its programmes and events to the Station’s teeming listeners which has increased from 800, 000 in 2018 to over Two Million at present.

 

Akanle added that the station has gained more trust from the public with the newly inaugurated technological infrastructure named ‘Live Camera Update’ which allows the station to give real-time live traffic reports to its numerous audience, as well as traffic advisory on all modes of Transportation, including, Roads, Waterways, Railway and Flight Schedule.

 

The General Manager, therefore,  assured the  Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry of robust publicity through an effective partnership.
