ZIK GBEMRE PROFERS CAUTION ON CLARK VS OKOWA: DELTA TRADITIONAL RULERS SHOULD CALL SELVES TO ORDER
What is the misunderstanding between Chief E.K. Clark and former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and what manner of meddlesome interlopers are Delta state traditional rulers playing over this saga?
The Delta traditional rulers should call themselves to order. E.K. Clark has alleged misuse and misappropriation of Delta public money by Okowa. What is needed by the traditional rulers is for them to ask Okowa and Sherriff Oborevwori to render accounts to Delta people.
Sherriff was the Speaker that approved the loans for Okowa’s administration. Clark doesn’t have personal quarrrels with Okowa and co. Clark is asking for accountability which Okowa has refused to give.
What are the heads of the DSS, EFCC and ICPC waiting for before Okowa is arrested as Emefiele was arrested? Okowa turned Delta’s treasury into his family’s business. DSS and EFCC/ICPC shouldn’t engage in selective arrest of corrupt public officials.
Agreed Emefiele is indicted. What about Okowa who floated Premium Trust Bank with fronts with Delta public money? Is Okowa above arrest? Delta traditional rulers should call themselves to order and join Chief Clark in demand for accountability by Okowa.
The traditional rulers should rather commend Pa Clark for speaking out. As for Clark he shouldn’t yield to pressure to abandon his well intended advocacy on Okowa to give account for Delta’s treasury under his care for 8 years.
Okowa is damn corrupt, who put his stooge, Sheriff Oborevwori to cover his loots. Clark should be commended for his fearless advocacy on this.
Okowa ran Delta state as his private vault, never answerable to the people that supposedly elected him governor for those 8 years. And the Delta House of Assembly members/lawmakers have always been puppets of the sitting governor.
He was above the law and used Delta State money recklessly for his failed vice presidential ambition. He captured and conquered Delta state for himself. It is alleged and believed that judges appointed to hear/decide Delta governorship cases are turned billionaires, since 1999.
It is equally believed and alleged that judges assigned to hear/decide pre-elections matters of Delta governorship cases are made for life.
Since 1999 Delta state’s treasury has been committed to footing bills of Delta pre-election and election matters in favour of PDP ruling governors. Who do we blame?
I blame James Ibori for starting this since 1999. ‘How hi come be now?’ Ibori started all of this in 1999 but he didn’t realise the consequences then.
Why is EFCC, ICPC, DSS silent on Okowa’s alleged lootings of Delta’s treasury. Okowa should pay for his sins.
