Warri Market Women Rejects Cashless Policy, Storms Banks With Protest.

Today seems not like other market days as the Warri market women took to protest to the banks alongside Warri-Sapele road and NPA expressway to lay their anger in protest against the naira crisis facing the entire nation presently.

 

This compelled the banks in that axis to shut down early today been Friday 3rd February, 2023 as the protesters blocked the entrance of the United Bank of Africa and Union Bank both at the main market of Warri town.

According to the traders who were loaded with placards and leaves lamenting the strong negative effect of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) cashless policy which has put them in a state disarray, having no money nor sales coupled with the scarcity of the redesigned naira notes.

 

They therefore beckon of federal government to look into their plight as the frustration is quite overwhelming on the masses especially the market women in the Warri axis of Delta state.
