He also expressed gratitude to the people of the state, and promised to run an inclusive government that upholds the principles of justice and fairness to everyone.

Ofcourse the video message came against the backdrop of escalating political tension in Rivers State.

Several members of Fubara’s cabinet have resigned in the last two days, a development that is linked to the governor’s face-off with his predecessor, Federal Capital Terrritory, FCT, minister, Nyesom Wike.

While 27 members of the state assembly defected from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Following the defection of the lawmakers, the Rivers State Government ordered the demolition of the Assembly Complex.

The government cited the need to build a suitable structure after an “arson attack” that occurred at the Assembly Complex on October 29.
