 ...CANVASSES SUPPORT FOR APGA FOR PROGRESSIVE DEVELOPMENT

Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, earlier today inspected the level of work at the Amansea – Ebenebe-Ugbenu-Ugbene-Awba Ofemmili road construction in Awka North Local Government Area.

 

On arrival, indegenes of the Communities were ecstatic, as they welcome the Governor with singing and dancing in appreciation of the unfolding rapid development in road infrastructure

Addressing the crowd, Governor Soludo said he has returned for the second time since the flag-off ceremony last year to ascertain the level of progress of work done so far

 

He said he was emotionally attached to the people of Awka North, and that after inspecting the level of work, he was filled with joy. He promised he will return next year to commission the road after it would have been completed

 

He noted that the road construction is the result of a promise made, adding that the promise was made on the APGA platform, which is the party bringing development to the area

 

The Governor urged the people to continue to vote for APGA so that the government could continue to provide good democratic dividends to the people.

 

He appreciated the people for voting him into power and urged them to vote for all APGA candidates who would work with him to continue the progressive development that is already happening.

 

Earlier, the Transition Committee Chairman for Awka North, Mr. Emmanuel Ucheze, expressed delight at the Governor’s visit to Awba Ofemmili and urged the people to support the Governor, who is also the party’s Leader, by voting massively for APGA in the upcoming election. He promised the Governor that Awka North will not let him down.

The Commissioner for Works, Engr. Ifeanyi Okoma explained that the road was flagged off three months ago. He commended the contractor for the level of work done so far

While stating that the construction company has 12 months to complete its work, the Commissioner pointed out that as of last year, the road was impassable, but earth work had been completed on 14.35km of the road as well as stone base on 6km.

 

The Commissioner for Homeland Affairs, Chief Chikodi Anarah, who is also an indigene of Awka North, maintained that among all the Governors who have led Anambra since inception, only Governor Soludo remembered the area and brought rapid development to the area.

The APGA Candidate for Anambra House of Assembly, Awka North, Hon Ikwunne Chimezie, described Governor Soludo’s legacy in the area as something he has accomplished in less than ten months in office. He stated that the Governor has done his part and that the only way to repay him was for the people to vote massively for APGA.

The APGA candidate for the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Obi Nwankwo in his speech commended the Governor road infrastructure and other dividends of democracy he bringing to the people saying he has always had an innate desire to remember the poor and oppressed. He therefore urged the people to support APGA because it is the party that has brought light to the area.

 

Secretary to the State Government, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu, Chief of Staff, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, Chief Protocol, Hon Chinedu Nwoye (Glamour), Anambra North APGA Party Executives, Anambra North Ward Chairmen, Anambra North Traditional Rulers among others, were on ground at the event.
