SOLUDO/IBEZIM REMAIN THE AUTHENTIC CANDIDATES OF APGA AS INEC PUBLISHES FINAL LIST OF CANDIDATES FOR ANAMBRA GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo and Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim both APGA governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates for the November 6 Anambra governorship election names were published today, Thursday, October 7, 2021 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in their final list of candidates for the Anambra gubernatorial election.

By this official publication by INEC the needless controversy that has trailed who the authentic candidates of APGA is for the November governorship election has now been finally laid to rest.

It will be recalled that in its first publication in July at the middle of this year, INEC had omitted Soludo’s name, citing court order from Jigawa. The decision was met with uproar and became very unpopular as majority of Ndi Anambra and Nigerians across board condemned it.

However, it took the ruling of the Kano Appeal Court to set aside the order of the Jigawa High Court for INEC to reverse its earlier decision and later published Soludo’s and his Deputy’s names as the validly elected and authentic candidates of APGA.

The Anambra governorship election is billed to hold on November 6, 2021 with Soludo/Ibezim highly favoured to coast home to victory based on the overwhelming support the duo enjoy from the people of Anambra State.
