Recently, the Pos operators has been reaping off Nigerians following the cash crunch manifested by the CBN and FG naira Swap, it becomes very important that the security operatives help out to save Nigerians from the exhorbitant rate charged by Pos operators in the nation, thank God for the intervention of EFCC which should be extended to different states to ensure sanity is maintained in the nation as cash crunch has put Nigerians to a state of maya and Pos operators want to deliberately murder Nigerians who has no choice but visit Pos for withdrawal of their little change.
It is a thing worthy of accolades to the security operatives, EFCC as The Nation reports its effort in nabbing More than 80 Point of Sales (PoS) vendors in Akure, the Ondo State capital, have been arrested, kudos to EFCC.
This arrest was made by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly buying and selling money to individuals with higher interest.
It was gathered that this operation was made in Akure South and Akure North Local Government Areas where most of the PoS operators were forced to disclose the source of the cash used in their businesses.
A source said some PoS agents confessed to buying cash from banks after which they charged their customers exorbitantly.
Source reveals, “They have arrested about 80 PoS attendants in Oja Oba area. If they come to you, they will ask you to disclose the source of your cash and how much you are charging your customers and also ask you to take them to the person that gave you the money.
“Some PoS attendants, who got the information beforehand, abandoned their stands and flee.
“A PoS agent was just here attending to customers when a woman came and asked how much he charges on every one thousand naira.”
To this end, it will be a welcome idea, if EFCC could extend this operation to other parts of the nation like Lagos, Delta and so on.
