Recently on 11th October, 2022, the National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam and its National Officers celebrated the only Delta state Governorship candidate of SDP whom was confered the National Honours Award, Officer of the Order of Niger (OON) by President Muhammadu Buhari along side Prof. Wale Suleman who also received the National Honours Award as well.
This after Award Party took place immediately after the National Honours award ended at an exclusive event centre in FCT, Abuja.
The Award was described as a very prestigious one as it came at the right time when the Delta state industrialist and former Minister of State Education, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi is vying for a governorship postion under the platform of Social Democratic Party (SDP).
And that made the national award to be very unique as it was actually meant to recognise and appreciate men of timber and caliber, Nigerians whose character, achievements and contributions to state and Nation building distinguishes them among other candidates on the queue for one position or the other in the state and nation respectively.
Gbagi”s award was specifically described as an award well deserved.
