The WIGA group which was led by its Convener, Hon Amaka Obi, (Iyom), told Cee Cee Soludo that aside from coming to express their support and Solidarity for his governorship ambition, the group has also come to express its gratitude and appreciation to him for granting scholarships to 170 girl-child under the auspices of the organisation which Soludo promised during one of their programmes which he has dutifully redeemed.

Hon Amaka Obi thereafter presented appreciations letters duly signed by the school heads where each of the 170 girl-child is attending school under the scholarship of Cee Cee Soludo.

Hon Amaka described Cee Cee Soludo as a great silent philanthropist who is genuinely interested in helping the needy and less- privileged in the society.

She said Soludo’s desire for the good of the society is amply demonstrated in his desire to ensure the son or daughter of the poorest of the poor is given equal qualitative education and same opportunities to excel in life with their counterparts from rich homes.

She further expressed the group profound appreciations and gratitude to Soludo for the amazing scholarship he awarded to the 170 girl-child who are today enjoying qualitative and uninterrupted education across Anambra state.

Responding, Cee Cee Soludo thanked the group for the support and Solidarity visit. He described WIGA as an organisation with a soul that is touching the lives of the girl-child.

Soludo commended the group for giving hope to the girl-child and also advised that same be given to the other child. He said he was able to escape poverty through the qualitative education he received while growing up.

“Education is the ladder of opportunity which the poor can use to climb out of poverty” Cee Cee Soludo said

“I will work with WIGA to ensure that every child will be given qualitative education” Soludo further added

“I deeply appreciate your support and I thank you immensely for coming” Soludo concluded.

It will also be recalled that Cee Cee Soludo in his quest to ensure the children of the poor get qualitative education, he adopted the primary school in his Isuofia community, paying the fees of over 800 children as well as providing other basic needs for them, such as; two pairs of uniforms each per pupil, school sandals, bags, and socks. He also provided computers for the pupils so that they could all be literate in computer applications. Aside from this, he equally employ and pay the teachers through the school PTA.

These are some of the many philanthropic gestures Cee Cee Soludo gives to the society which he does silently and are hardly reported or brought to the public glare!
