The leading governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON in the company of his campaign train has storm Okpe community today been 9th February, 2023 in grand style with his messages of liberation while receiving hundreds of decampees from other parties.
This liberation message he conviently delivered in style to the people of Okpe on Thursday 9th February, 2023 as Gbagi doles out free fuel to the transporters in the community as part of his early campaign promises and that provoked stronger support and endorsement with assurance from the people of Okpe that there is truely light at the end of the tunnel.
The governor in waiting who was accompanied by his Deputy Governor to be, Mrs. Rosemary Isioma Oshilim, the Campaign Council, the National Vice Chairman of SDP, Elder Fred Owotorofa, National Vice Secretary, Deputy Chairman Central, Mike Dugbo, the SDP candidates of House of Representatives candidate for Okpe, Sapele & Uvwie of SDP, Amb. Prince Igho Sadjere, House of Assembly candidate for Warri South II, Oritseyinmi Alvin Yalaju, House of Assembly candidate for Uvwie, Hon. Temisere Oghenevwegba David and other SDP faithfuls took his campaigning also to the market and on the street of Okpe just to minister the gospel of liberation one-to-one to the people to enlighten them more on the disaster that follows making any error of voting a wrong candidate for Governor this time as the state is already in a stage of total collapse and the nation in a stage of somersault.
Gbagi who in his capacity and style delivered his liberation message door to door to the people of Okpe appreciating them for turning up in mass to endorse him as their choice and embracing Social Democratic Party as the party that can deliver promises even before now.
The beautiful energetic sight of the dance by children and youths of the Okpe community attracted the philanthropic side of the indutralist which prompt him to gif out scholarship to a good number of the dancers and maintained that the people of Okpe are very energetic and deserves better and that is exactly why they have to ensure their vote counts for SDP because that is the only way Okpe community will wnjoy development in full.
In his statement he expressed, “I have come back to tell you that we will declare free education for every Delta child from May 29th by the grace of God.
“Look at these my little children, look at the talents they exhibited. SDP as I have been told, all these 12 children, SDP have granted them scholarship to the university level.
“With what we saw of these children, if these children go to the University, they will become the musical industry in Africa.
“We have identified these 12 children, whichever school they are going, the Gbagi Foundation, will deposit money to start them up”.
“That is why I have chested out to say we must do this one successfully.
“And if all of you here vote for SDP, we have won. We have said that all the pensioners, teachers that were not promoted, gratuities that were not paid, the SDP government will pay them and promote the teachers.
“Nothing has changed in Okpe. No factory, no industry. How are we going to employ all these youths?
“People with university degrees are at home, still being taken care of by their parents, that is not the plan”, he lamented.
Continuing, he said: “SDP has come to liberate Delta State from curse, setback and to take the State back to industrialization. The least I will do in my first year in office, is to put a company in Okpe and I will establish a mega industry in every local government in my first year.
“We will make every local government autonomous with regards to business and industries so we don’t travel far to get what we want”, he assured.
“By the grace of God, SDP on assuming office on May 29th 2023, we will declare free education”, he said.
He also went further to encourage them to support all him and all SDP candidates; Sadjere for Federal House of Representatives, Okpe, Sapele & Uvwie and Temisere for House of Assembly candidates too as they are the hope of development and Progress for the constituencies.
At the end, the turnout was very massive at a higher gear and the leaders of the market team embraced SDP and promised to vote for Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON, SDP for Progress to come.
