It is being organised by Prince Emeka Ojukwu-led Music Africa Awake.

Speaking on the event, Ojukwu said the three-day event, billed to hold inside the International Trade Fair Motel, is expected to host 20,000 attendees.

He listed some of the collaborators of the event, saying the plan is to change the face of the music industry.

Among the dignitaries expected are the Jamaican Minister of Arts and Culture as well as his counterparts from across Africa.

The group’s Marketing Consultant, King Oke-David, explained that the event is aimed at raising funds for assisting upstarts in music and promoting arts and culture as well as tourism.

He said: “The soul of man and woman attracts music. Both the happy and the sad like or need music. Through music, you can make a country. It is a powerful tool that gives life after the owner is gone. But the government has neglected music to heal the country and support the youth.”

He noted that the first reggae fiesta by the organisation, which was held in Awka, the Anambra State capital, was a huge success.
