Receiving the award on behalf of the Agency,  the elated Executive Secretary of DSVA, Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi thanked BudgIT for the recognition, noting that the civil organisation has been consistent, doggedness, and resilience in ensuring that Public Service Agencies deliver on their mandates.

She also dedicated the award to all the victims and survivors who have confided in the Agency and solicited help, imploring others who have been or suffering from domestic and sexual violence to speak out and seek assistance by calling the DSVA’s toll-free line: 08000 333 333.

Her words, “I would like to dedicate this award to all the victims and survivors who have trusted us enough with their stories, shared their pain, and sought help. Thank you for allowing us to help you. We use this medium to encourage anyone experiencing domestic and sexual violence to know that we believe you, Government is here for you. Kindly break the culture of silence, speak up, and get help. We can be reached on our toll-free line 08000 333 333”.

I would also like to thank my amazing team, gallant officers of the DSVA by saying, “Thank you for daily going beyond the call of duty. Our work truly is a thankless one so to be recognized in this way is truly humbling and gratifying”.

The award ceremony was graced by leaders of thought in both the Public and Private Sector and the Media.
