The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) has recently made a preliminary findings that indicates the availability of crude oil in the Agwatashi and Assakio communities in the Obi Local Government Area of the state.
Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule also confirmed the aforementioned.
And this is coming shortly after the NNPCL found oil in Keana Loca government area of the state.
It was gathered that preparations are in top gear to commence its drilling in March.
Duke, in an interactive session with APC Stakeholders in Obi LGA on Tuesday, promised that his administration would not relent until Nasarawa State begins to enjoy the 13 percent derivation as an oil-producing state.
The governor further said that, the State Government would sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the NNPCL on February 18, 2023, inorder for them to commence the drilling of the oil in Keana LGA without any hindrances.
At the end, the Governor went further to appeal to the APC stakeholders to elect all the other candidates of the APC from top to bottonm and as well re-elect him during the 2023 general election, promising to bring better dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
