…says Gbagi and Obi are not corruptible.
Ahead of the race, a strong version of supporters of the presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi in Diaspora led by Dr. David Solomon has endorsed and pledged huge support for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON as as their choice of governorship candidate to vote for in the coming general election on 11th March, 2023.
This final decision they took on 13th February, 2023 during their consultative meeting at Oginibo in Ughelli South local government of Delta state.
The group led by Dr. Helen Solomon reveals that after a critical evaluation of the entire gubernatorial candidates including the Labour party candidate, Ken Pela both for the governorship and presidential, took a final decision that to pledge full support to both candidates will ho a long way to change the narratives both at the state abd national level in that both have the capacity and most especially for the state, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON has the capacity to liberate Delta from the arrested development of the present government which has kept Delta state backward till now.
Dr. Solomon gave them all necessary assurance that the SDP flag bearer, Gbagi will run an all-inclusive government.
He also assured that, voting for the candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON will be a win-win as his CV and excellent track records as a business man, criminologist, Philanthropist and a detrabalised one speaks volume and that is more reason for their endorsement of Gbagi as next governor of Delta state.
He went further to also assure the Peter Obi group that, Gbagi is more qualified than other party candidates, APC, PDP, LP, APGA in the state and has no albatross hanging on his neck as he has achieved so much in the state without the help of government resources while others like Oborevwori, Omo-Agege are all products that cannot exist without government resources and confirms that Gbagi will deliver massive employment, good roads, good healthcare, good education, industries and free education to Deltans if given the opportunity to govern the Delta state.
In his statement he expressed, “If somebody like Kenneth Gbagi, becomes our governor, these three ports will become operational.
“And then look at our airports, the Asaba airport, Gbagi has vowed to make it a five lane airport and all of those vast land around the airport, a lot of hotels and businesses will be built there that will generate money for the state.
“Gbagi, is putting together a team that will help transform and invite investors from Al over the world who are ready to come to Delta State.
“When we have the right government and the right governor like Gbagi, in Delta State, oil companies will relocate back to the State. Shell company, is already in talk with him that they will return if he becomes the governor of the state.
“The first governor of this state, was from SDP, Olorogun Felix Ibru and when he was a governor what did we get? Free education and Gbagi, intends to continue the free education for every Delta child.
“When you are not worried about school fees and books, won’t you like to go back and get a second degree? Won’t you like to get your Masters? So, there are more of opportunities that awaits us.
“PDP and APC have caused us so much pains for more than 20 years PDP made promises and none of the promises have been fulfilled”, he lamented.
Also the Coordinators of the various groups gave her reason for group stand by Gbagi and Peter Obi as two distinguished candidates without corruptible character among all candidates from the major parties.
She said, “there is a new Nigeria, ‘and do you know that new Nigeria? It is you and I. We are here because we believe in the individuals, men who have capacity, integrity, character and men who have what it takes to say enough is enough.
“And we have found these men at the federal and State levels. And so, let us dare to speak up and end the ways of the old order.
“I am grateful to God and to each and every Deltan that have found a man like Gbagi, because he has vision. We have found a man who is ready to turn Delta State around”, she insisted.
At the end, he appreciated all members of the group and encouraged them to vote for Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi for Governor and vote for Mr. Peter Obi for President as this is the better assured way Nigeria and Delta state can progress economically and security wise.
