The NIN requirement is currently seen as dead on arrival as it has encountered many obstacles as ADC African Democratic Congress recently  on Thursday predict that the NIMC might not be able to deliver at the very short time to the Jamb registration date.

According to Lagos State Chapter Chairman of the party, Pastor Kayode Jacobs, who clearly mentioned that the call followed the inability of the National Identity Card Management Commission (NIMC) to provide enough capacity to cope with the volume of persons seeking registration within the very short time limit given by JAMB.

He frowned at the unwillful attitude exhibited on applicants by the registering officials who are capitalizing on the desperate situation of the applicants and suggested that such policy should at least take a year or more for effectiveness.

In his statement he included that,  “Why not make it take effect from 2021 or 2022 and if it must be now, what measures did JAMB and NIMC put on ground to achieve seamless process”.

To this effect as he Concludes,  “what is worth doing, is worth doing well” and plead with JAMB to have a rethink, except they have reasons not disclosed to Nigerians.

While advising Government to avoid overburdening the people in a desperate bid to show capacity and performance, it may be counter-productive.

They should please discard it. It’s giving students stress and as well causing unnecessary obstacle.
