“I WILL RUN AN OPEN AND TRANSPARENT GOVERNMENT AS GOVERNOR OF ANAMBRA STATE,” – SOLUDO ASSURES ORGANISED LABOUR

Ahead the November 6, Anambra governorship election, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has assured Organised Labour of the state that he will run an open and transparent government if voted as the Governor of Anambra State.
Cee Cee Soludo made this remark during an interactive session with the leadership of more than 15 Industrial Unions of Organised Labour in Anambra State led by Comrade Adigwe Chikwelu,
During the interactive session, Cee Cee Soludo had commended Governor Willie Obiano for his giant strides in infrastructural development in the state and promised to consolidate on his achievements.
He specifically told his visitors that his focal point if voted as the Governor of Anambra State, would be centered on running a very transparent Public Finance Management so that Ndi Anambra and indeed, everybody can see what comes in and how it is utilised, irrespective of where the person is in the world.
“One of my major focus is to run a very transparent public finance management so that anybody can see what comes in and what it is used for, irrespective of where you are in the world,” Soludo assured.
Soludo also harped on the issue of prompt salary payment as raised by the Union spokesperson. He assured the Union that he understands fully well the issue of salaries and emoluments and said it will be treated as a top priority.
He emphasised that payment of salaries and other entitlements of workers are legitimate right and not a favour, adding that his government will do everything possible to ensure Anambra workers are well taken care of.
The leader of the delegation, Comrade Adigwe Chikwelu, who is also the State leader of the National Union of Local Government Employees, (NULGE), described Cee Cee Soludo as an exceptional leader who will do excellently well as Governor of Anambra State. He assured the APGA gubernatorial candidate that the Union is fully in support of his governorship ambition and promised to take the message down to the individual Union in the state.
