He isn’t our employee. He has been arrested — FAAN reacts to report of airport staff caught slipping a parcel containing drugs into a man’s traveling bag at MMIA, Lagos., then whose employee is those men on uniformed apron.

As Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) says the man being accosted by a passenger in a viral video for attempting to use him to traffic drugs does not work with FAAN, is that suppose to be his job? Why are such people allowed to enter such delicate section with proper security checks on them?

He is an employee of an aviation services company operating within the airport premises, Mrs Obiageli Orah, Director, Public Affairs & Consumer Protection at FAAN, stated on Wednesday.

She added that the officer, who tried to ferry a parcel through the passenger that was jetting to Accra had been arrested & handed over to security operatives for interrogation

She stated that the passenger resorted to slapping the officer whom he had compelled to kneel before him after he had raised an alarm alleging he was being set up for dr¥g trafficking.

Orah stressed that FAAN was dedicated to a dr¥g-free society and had zero tolerance for dr¥g peddling through the nation’s airports, so why should such happen under their nose?

FAAN should sit up and do their job, put proper security measure in such section as not everybody has the right senses of human being, some are beast in human flesh.
