Gone are days when party becomes the yardstick of measuring political wins.
Ahead of the Gubernatorial race coming up on 11th March, 2023, the coast is getting clearer as the key contenders of the governorship position rounds up their campaign awaiting the reward of their hard work from the masses who have directly or indirectly benefited or not benefitted at all from their individual deeds in the state.
Following the turnout of the presidential election polls result, one could naturally dictate where the pendulum is swinging to and in whose favour it might fall.
Without been bias in this analysis, as politics is all about interest and participation in my own opinion but as it stands presently the ruling party Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is seriously enveloped with fear of the unknown as their confidence as incumbent seems wavey in its candidate whose slogan represents Sheriffied with M.O.R.E Agenda putting the party supporters in a very doubting state even as incumbent seeking alliance from other parties for a win.
Coming to that of All Progressives Congress (APC) which has its flag bearer as Omo-Agege working so hard to ensure they bench PDP with its candidate Sheriff whom they see as a work over in the coming election for their reason of lack of capacity and competence in terms of performance and politicking business but still have their fear of failing even though they have taken supposed lead at the presidential race as incumbent though strongly believe that the incumbency of Delta state is one that can be easily trashed in the race, having that strong contender, Gbagi who the entire church in Delta state has put their hope and faith that Delta will become well again.
Then the bigger challenge still lies ahead of both APC and PDP as the Social Democratic Party (SDP) with its candidate as an industrialist cum criminologist, an entrepreneur with high intelligence and integrity, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON becomes the greatest challenge to others as his style of campaign with his slogan of “Liberate Delta” remains more reasonable and achievable as the entire churches in Delta state, indegenes, non indegens has embraced the slogan as it becomes the ultimate goal for Deltans to ensure state returns to a better stage in terms of development, industrialisation, infrastructure, employment and security in all ramifications as they all (Deltans, churches) believe is the right way to bring back the prestige of the state and have it liberated from the comatose stage and that becomes another bigger challenge to the other parties as it looks as if they came with same mission which have cascaded Delta state.
From the analysis which is from unbiased, we can categorically predict that the pendulum is swinging away from the PDP, even APC is loosing part gradually, don’t want to dwell on Labour Party because they are seen as the third force in Delta state which any of the parties can lean on if played smarter though they are already sharing sides with the SDP but with what is been played out the Social Democratic Party (SDP) is already coasting to victory with its candidate, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON.
I would like to peg my point here that Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi of SDP will naturally take the crown if no prank is played at the polls but we all should go to the polls to finish it up and deliver who takes over from Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa come 11th March, 2023.
I encourage you all to go and vote right!
Vote for the best candidate with capacity to act his campaign promises as by their slogan you shall know them!
Vote with your conscience for the best!
