In a display of diplomatic synergy and cross-regional cooperation, the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, took center stage alongside Her Excellency, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, OON, CON, at the official inauguration of the Senator Oluremi Tinubu School of Law Building, hosted by the Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria in Kano State.

Governor Alia’s exclusive invitation by Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, distinguishes him as the sole governor selected to accompany Her Excellency to the prestigious occasion, signalling a recognition of the Governor’s progressive leadership and the importance of inter-state partnerships in the national development of the renewed hope agenda.

 

Hosted by His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Governor of Kano State, the commissioning ceremony attracted a distinguished array of dignitaries, including former First Lady, Mrs. Maryam Abacha, Deputy President of the Senate, Rt. Hon. Barau Jibrin, Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Hon. Abba Abubakar Bichi, as well as Senators, House of Representatives members, and over 20 wives of serving Governors, among others.

Prof. Adamu Gwarzo, Chairman of the Governing Council, extended a gracious welcome to the esteemed guests on behalf of the university’s administration, faculty, and student body, emphasising the significance of the Senator Oluremi Tinubu School of Law Building in elevating legal education standards and nurturing future legal professionals in Nigeria.

The presence of Governor Alia alongside Her Excellency, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, symbolises a commitment to collaborative governance and the importance of synergistic efforts in advancing the educational architecture of Nigeria.
