Gbagi Mourns Late ICJ, Prince Bola Ajibola

Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi FNIM, OON, Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in the just concluded general elections in Delta State, has mourned the demise of an icon, Prince Bola Ajibola, who was a former Judge of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), Hague, Netherlands.


Prince Ajibola, who is the Proprietor of Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ogun State, died in the early hours of Sunday April 9th 2023, at the age of 89.


The former minister of state for education, in a release issued on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Orusi Kenneth, commiserated with family members, friends and associates of the late legal luminary, who defined his life with kindness, charity and service to humanity.


Gbagi, described him as a very disciplined and industrious gentleman who inculcated the values of hard work and patriotism in the children he left behind and those around him.


“The news of Bola Ajibola, Justice of the International Court of Hague, former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and former minister for Justice and Attorney General of the federation, has come to me with a rude shock.


“But most importantly, let us submit to the will of God, as nobody will carry anything from this world anywhere.


“Prince Bola Ajibola, as you know, is one of the finest human being Nigeria, has ever produced”.


The former Chairman, Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, recall that he got acquainted with the decreased between 1986 and 1987, “as the then Managing Director of GEEKOS Security Nigeria Limited”.


He noted that at that time, the present president of the country, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and Hauwa Kalu were doing their internship with the late Prince Bola Ajibola, as minister for Justice.


While praying for the repose of the soul of the deceased, he said: “Prince Ajibola, is exceptionally a great man and it is on that note that I plead with Allah, to grant him a bosom resting place.


“Nigeria, has list a great human being. To get one like him today, is extremely difficult. May his soul rest in perfect peace”, he added.
