at the Party’s Leader meeting.

Chief Bene Mamamu officially declared his interest in contesting the LG seat before the party, stating that he is fully ready to win the election and that it won’t be business as usual, that he is coming to change the narrative.

According to him; “I am coming to change the narrative of being one of the highest oil-producing areas with nothing to show. the quality of my leadership will address the problem of unemployment. I am not known for many promises, but I know the needs of the people and poverty reduction will be my main focus. I don’t compromise and I will take it completely, it’s a quit notice for PDP.”

Bene Mamamu was given a carnival-like reception by the APC Warri South-West Local Government leaders upon his arrival at the venue for the meeting. Hopes were high that the LGA is ripe to be taken by the APC and that all strategies both old and new of the PDP will be neutralized as soon as the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC is ready to conduct free fair and credible election.

The aspiration of Bene Mamamu was well appreciated by the LGA Chairman of the party, Mr. Collins Ebieto, the Secretary, Erike Raphael, the publicity secretary, Igbomene Emeleakpo, and the entire ward chairman who made up the LGA.

During a speech at Bene’s declaration, the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Federal Ward 1 Chairman Prince Ese Benebode noted that, from far and near, it is Ijaw’s turn to produce the Local Government Chairman and the APC has put their house to encourage internal democracy, hopefully, the party will give the ticket to an Ijaw person.

The party chairman, Mr. Collins Ebieto, while calling on the various ward leaders to set aside personal interests, urged them to be steadfastly committed and be more organized. According to him, the surest way to make the party appealing to the electorate, and gladiators from other political parties was to ensure unity, promote discipline, and encourage seriousness.
