Delta State Election Petition Tribunal has been adjourned to June 1st, 2023 for continuation of the pre-hearing.
The pre-hearing of the governorship petitions filed by the Social Democratic Party, SDP Governorship candidate, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi OON has commenced today been Wednesday, May 24, 2023, though was ruled that the case be adjourned further to June 1st, 2023 for continuation of the pre-hearing conference at the Federal High Court, Asaba Division, Delta State.
However, tbe governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi and his teeming supporters were fully ready to witness the pre-hearing at the State capital in Asaba.
It could be recalled that Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi filed a 79-page petition at the state Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, challenging the declaration of the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the winner of the March 18, 2023 governorship election in the State.
Gbagi has maintained his position that; all other parties and their candidates are not qualified and the election itself was not conducted in line with the Electoral Act and other statutory provisions therefore will reclaim his mandate as the only candidate that followed the necessary process laid down for the said 2023 gubernatorial election.
