Delta state 2023 governorship hopeful, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi says his timely withdrawal from the PDP guber primary stage managed by Governor Okowa to impose his stooge, Sheriff Oborevwori as flag bearer has saved Deltans from suffering another eights years of stagnation and acute hardship from misrule in the midst of plenty.

Gbagi, in a new viral video deepened his real reasons for turning his back on the predictable charade Okowa put as 2023 Delta PDP guber primary, saying with his emergence as SDP candidate, Delta has a chance to revive her dead industries and collapses economy upon which Okowa keeps borrowing the state into debt.

The foremost Delta industrialist and SDP candidate clarified, “I decided to leave the PDP with tears because that was the house I built. One of Okowa’s greatest confidants today met me on the plane and asked me, you left the house you built when you are the owner of the House? My response to him was yes, let me be on the ballot and let God decide my fate on the ballot.

“If I was not on the ballot, and just agreed that what has happened has happened and go and sleep, it mean I’m not a man. But I’m a competent man and Okowa can tell everybody that I’m a competent man. That is why I want to prove my competency at the ballot, next year, 2023.

“Whatever happened at the Government House, Asaba, gave me a closer understanding as to why I took my decision to vie for for the Delta governorship under the SDP. After seven years of agreement, one of the reasons Okowa decided to do what he is doing now is he saying that I cannot be controlled.

“How can you control me? What I’m I looking for that you want to control me, to do what? Nothing in this world can buy my conscience, nothing can change my mind. And not of course the likes of Okowa.

“I believe I complied legally with what should be done and what not to be done with the Electoral Act in the decision I took. My statement as to why not to participate at what I considered what it was, was why I left. That is why I’m legally in position to have gone to SDP.

“Deltans should rather thank me for my smartness. If I were not to be smart, they would have caught me in that web of people who went into an election where you walk into your trap. I walked out of the trap a free man. I had to be a situation where voters will not call to say, I wanted to vote for you, but you are not on the ballot.

“Today, I’m on the ballot. If you (Delta people) truly want your industry to be revived, which I can do, I’m the man to vote for. Delta state is the richest state in Africa, richer than over 34 countries in the world. With all that is available here, I will turn this state to glory.”

Gbagi still remains the truth Delta state need to embrace for Progress!
