
The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria has today announced a historic net operating surplus of N1.37 billion for 2023, marking a 63.60% growth from the previous year.

President Dr. Ken Opara revealed this during the institute’s AGM in Lagos.
Total revenue grew by 34.72% to N2.782 billion, while total assets increased to N9.119 billion.
Opara highlighted achievements in ICT, revenue drive, capacity building and support for economic policy reforms.
The cost-to-income ratio decreased to 50.72%, below the approved threshold.
A roadshow collaboration with the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System is planned to promote exportation.
Opara emphasised youth engagement initiatives to curb mass migration.
