The executive Governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun, has on Tuesday, March 12, disclosed opportunity for students that enrolled in public and private tertiary institutions in the state to benefit from a financial boost of N50,000 through the Educational Cash Award for Student Help Programme.

 

He said that this support extends to primary and secondary school students as well, benefiting a total of 10,000 students across all three senatorial districts. Each student will receive N10,000 to assist their families and further their education.

This was disclosed in a post on his X handle to ensure the poor breathes in the state.

 

He wrote: “Students from Ogun State, whether attending public or private tertiary institutions across Nigeria, are now receiving a financial boost of N50,000 through the Educational Cash Award for Student Help Programme.

 

“This initiative forms part of our administration’s intervention programme, aimed at supporting students in their educational pursuits.

 

“Not only are we assisting university students, but we are also extending our support to 10,000 students studying in public primary and secondary schools across the three senatorial districts. Each of these students will receive ₦10,000 to alleviate the impact of the existing economic challenges on their studies and their families.

 

“During this challenging phase, we are committed to continuously striving for the betterment of the wonderful people of Ogun State, aiming to make their lives more meaningful and bearable.”
