Reports has shown that Gunmen have taken another strike in Umuahia, kidnapping the deputy vice chancellor of the Abia State University, ABSU, Uturu, Prof. Godwin Emezue.
It was gathered that, Emezue was abducted at a filling station near Amachara, in Umuahia South council area where he had gone to refill his tank, along with his wife.
According to source, the three gunmen dragged Emezue out of his car into another Lexus SUV jeep and headed towards Abia- Imo border.
While a call and sms has been put through to the Police Public Relations Officer, Abia State Command, ASP Maureen Chinaka, who is yet to respond.
