Under the theme: “Accelerating The Fight Against Malaria For A More Equitable World”, the Permanent Secretary, Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke stressed the importance of collective responsibility shared by all stakeholders in the relentless battle against malaria.

Highlighting the imperative of proactive measures, Adeleke underscored the critical role of maintaining clean environments, advocating for the widespread adoption of proven interventions such as Long Lasting Insecticide Treated Nets (LLIN), urging prompt testing and treatment for those exhibiting malaria symptoms.

She stated that as part of efforts to commemorate the Day, the Health District and Epe Local Government distributed Long Lasting Insecticide Treated Nets, Insecticides, and free malaria medications to Epe residents to ensure tangible protection and immediate access to treatment for those in need.

Adeleke revealed that the State Government is deploying multifaceted strategies directed towards promoting preventive measures against the spread of Malaria as a testament to the government’s dedication to safeguarding the health and well-being of its citizens.

The event, according to the Permanent Secretary, serves as a rallying point for members of the community within Epe and its environs to unite in solidarity and also underscores the importance of collective action in achieving a malaria-free future.
