History has it recorded on 3rd December, 2022 as the Presidential candidate of Social Democratic Party SDP, Prince Adewole Adebayo in the company of his amiable wife, Mrs. Adewole on receives the award of recognition from the Royal Fathers and eminent group of clubs which was well represented nation wide.
The governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party SDP, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi whom in his usual attitude of making friendship worthy, also joined Prince Adebayo to the Ekimogu day celebration where the main occasion that showcased different colourful dance groups, clubs, school march pass and awards were given to prominent men of Ondo state who have done so well in all ramification, supportive donations from different clubs.
This great occasion took place at the civic centre in Ondo town at Ondo state. His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Victor Adesimbo, Kiladejo, CFR JILO III, the Osemawe and Paramount Ruler of Ondo kingdom marked the 34th ceremony on Saturday December 3rd 2022 at the Oba Adesanoye Civic Centre in a glamorous ceremony which saw guests dressed in different beautiful attire.
In attendance were also to mention but few; the top Ondo state government officials, ex-husband of King Tonto Dike, Mr Churchill, the musician, Banky W, the yoruba actress Bimbo, the Social Democratic Party SDP members from state level to the National others and the event turned out to be most beautifully organised event with the gala night which ended the event in excitement.
As drums and trumpets reverberating from all corners of the venue, the people gyrated to music, hugged one another and exchanged pleasantries.
Also the popular Sunny Ade with his band kept the audience busy with dancing steps while displaying different dancing steps.
To top it all, the Indigenes of the town paid homage to the Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, Oba Victor Kiladejo, the chief host, being the custodian of the norms, values, culture and tradition of the kingdom.
Prince Adewole, who also hails from Ondo hosted prominent individuals at his private residence which all referred as the white House as its resemblance with the Amerian white House has no much difference.
The event, the 34th of its kind, coincided with the 15th year coronation of Oba Kiladejo.
This added more glamour to the occasion at the Oba Adesanoye Civic Centre, as it provided opportunity for indigenes to deliberate on the ways to develop the town.
Findings revealed that in the past 34 years that the Ekimogun Day has lasted, hundreds of indigenes benefited from scholarship awards and trainings, through the funds generated at the event.
This year’s edition brought in different awards as scholarship, bursary awards recognition and honour were given to brilliant but indigent students who are indigenes of Ondo.
At the end, it was concluded that, the emergence of Prince Adewole Adebaýo as president and Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON as Governor from SDP is hope is assured again.
