…say SDP has come for transparency and truth for nation building
Ahead of the 2023 elections, Social Democratic Party (SDP) Presidential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo and Delta state governorship hopeful, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi have assured Asagba of Asaba, Obi Prof. Chike Edozien of their commitment over political power to provide enduring leadership for Nigeria come 2023.
The duo of SDP flag bearers in company of political associates and teeming supporters were in the Palace of the Asagba of Asaba and kingsmen, to pay homage and present their political intentions before the 1st Class monarch.
Gbagi told Obi Edozien that as Governor of Delta come next year, he would lift the burden of deprivations and hardship, successive administrations have bored on Deltans over the years.
Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi also emphasised to the monarch that is running for governorship of Delta under the SDP and that the party has come to stay and will definitely bring good tidings and as wellbeing to Deltans and the entire nation in their hope for a better Nigeria which was denied them 30 years ago when Chief MKO Abiola contested under same platform.
The former Minister of State Education, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi went further to applaud the Asagba of Asaba and other Royal fathers for their devoted effort in maintaining peace and harmony among Deltans even in the face of all challenges, he also assured the king that, Social Democratic Party (SDP) will turn Delta into an industrialised state if given the needed support, come 2023.
To top it all, the SDP 2023 Presidential hopeful, Prince Adewole Adebayo in his statement also inform the Asagba of Asaba that SDP is determined to ensure justice and truth prevail as the nation’s economy has suffered so much.
Prince Adebayo went further to explain that, the nation is wealthy enough to stop the hardship experienced by Nigerians expressing that SDP is ready to deliver business inclined leadership, if given the opportunity.
He said, “what we are doing is to fulfill all those your dreams, the idea that what white man can do, black man can do it better”.
At the end, Gbagi expressed to the Asagba of Asaba that, “it will be a sin to the world that we have not excercise the mandate we brought to the entire Nigeria, so we have come to you as part of our request to exercise that mandate”.
In response, the Asagba of Asaba, Obi Prof. Chike Edozien revealed that the traditional rulers have not been given the needed support to play a major role into the development of the state. The monarch prayed a prayer of support and blessings for both SDP candidates to succeed in their endeavour and sent them forth to go conquer and win, come 2023.
