The Anglican church of Warri diocese has received in style the Delta state Governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party SDP, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON, Deputy Governor, Mrs. Rosemary Isioma Oshilim and his entourage led by the Campaign Director, Jiff Mokobia ahead of the gubernatorial race coming up in March, 2023.
This was to ensure good and true leadership of goverment takes over this 2023 to ensure the expected development and sincereity of purpose come to exist in the state, Christiandom in the entire Delta state as Christians has been cheated so much in the politics of the entire nation.
Gbagi who is known for his love and respect for God decided to take his campaign train to preach his liberation message to the clergy and their entire congregation to ensure they get ready their PVCs and vote rightly to avoid the mistake of the past that put Delta state in the present situation of no hope by the present administration.
This visit took place on Tuesday 17th January, 2023 at the Anglican diocese of Warri at their monthly clergy bible study.
He also went further to express his sadness on the bad shape of the state since 1999 till date while expressing his willingness to submit himself to serve and govern his people inorder to change the narratives for better Delta state to emerge.
He also made remarks of all his efforts and achievements in the past during his tenure as a minister of the federal Republic of Nigeria which yeilded 13 universities including FUPRE and others secondary schools under the former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
At the end, the presiding Bishop, Christian Ide went ahead onbehalf of others to encourage him while congratulate him even as he rendered prayers of support, blessings and urged Deltans to get it right this time by giving room for the will of God to be done regarding the forthcoming election.
He said, ” We will all pray that if it is the will of God that you Gbagi will become the governor, then nothing will stop you, but if it is not the will of God, then God’s will be done”.
