…Says SDP, the Noah’s Ark to give Nigeria new life
2023 Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo has maintained that poor governance remain the major setback hindering the advancement of the Nigerian nation.
Adebayo who is enjoying a stretched stay in Delta state to sensitise electorate on how SDP hopes to turn around fortunes of the country also concurred with his chief host and 2023 SDP governorship candidate in the state, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi that Delta and sister Niger Delta states would have been advancing rapidly with buoyant economies comparable to advanced nations of the world, if not for the wastefulness of bad political leaders.
In company of the SDP presidential candidate in Delta state are the SDP National Chairman, South-south, Elder Fred, former Minister of Youth and Sports, Comr. Solomon Dalung, Sen. Ugochukwu Ubah, Delta State Chairman SDP, Amb. Oke Idanwene and other party bigwigs.
Reflecting on the poor state of affairs in some of the regions Adebayo said, “What is expected of the SDP is to find a path way so far for Nigerians. Starting from the President himself to an ordinary man in the Warri market, everybody seems at a loss as to why Nigeria is adrift.
“And the job of the SDP is to give the country hope that is based on plans and to find effective and immediate answer to the problems of insecurity and poverty which brings backwardness to the entire nation.
“SDP poised to also give the country sense of unity and purpose so that we can begin a fresh journey which we are supposed to have started 30 years ago when we said farewell to poverty in which that journey has been suspended as we have been parambulating at one spot.
“So SDP has come like the Noah’s ark to give us a new face of life as a country. As we are coming, first thing to do is remove who and what is causing the problem because the problem of Nigeria are not external nor natural nor structural but internal from the government.
“So whether it is in Delta or Sokoto, Borno or Rivers State, whatever state we are pointing at or the country as a whole, government itself is the main problem because for everything we cry about, people at the government are making money from it.
“Look at Warri. Many citizens in Europe, Asia, America, others survive on Warri alone, the entirety of American economy which is the largest economy in the world is not as rich as Warri and environ. The amount of gas available in this region is 300 times compared to the size of United State of America (US) economy.
“We therefore should naturally as God planned it be the richest country in the world without doubt. If Nigerians will listen to us and give themselves a chance in life to allow SDP come to power both in Delta state and Nigeria then we can go to bed and say God has given us liberty.
The presidential hopeful further articulated, “Delta state is where the money dwells. Apart from I being married to a Deltan, I am also a Sapele and Warri boy as well because I grew up here and the money is here in Delta. If we cannot get it right now here in Delta state, then it will be hard to get it right in Nigeria.
“Many of the noise you hear about all over the North, South, West, East is about Niger-Delta money that is causing it. When you hear they are giving delegates 40,000 dollars, none of their fathers or grandfathers have such money anywhere except the money they collected from Niger-Delta and that is reason we, SDP have come here to take the message home.
“The liberation of Nigeria starts from Niger-Delta, the white men, English men, Germans are not stupid to have come here where the resources dwells. They all came here for the money so this is where everybody dreams to come because it is the centre but all we see now are nightmare.
Delta 2023 SDP governorship hopeful, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi with the SDP presidential candidate, jointly beckoned on all Deltans, Nigerians to get their PVCs to support SDP to build the state and the nation in general.
Prince Adebayo said, “Let us all give Social Democratic Party the chance to put things right. I call on Nigerians to listen to us in SDP and give us the chance, support to make things right again in both state and national level”.
