It is being alleged that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state and Godwin Emefiele, Governor of Central Bank, are the real owners of Premium Trust Bank who front a former Senior Manager of Sterling Bank and a popular Senior Pastor of an RCCG parish in Airport Road, Effurun near Warri as Chief Executive Officer of the bank.
I have said Okowa is the most wicked governor of Delta since creation and a state thief. He wants to sustain the state’s commonwealth as his personal estate, hence he wants rubber stamp Delta House of Assembly Speaker, Sheriff Oborevwori as his successor at all cost to cover up for him.
Okowa’s ambition as a running mate to Atiku Abubakar is aimed at enjoying immunity against atoning for his sins against the state which he will not get. It is also being alleged that Okowa owns majority stakes in Rainoil Ltd at present and the supposed owner is another front of Okowa.
Okowa’s desperation to loot Delta dry is worrisome. All of these hide and seek game of Okowa will be blown open. Okowa will never be elected as VP. His thievery on Delta’s commonwealth is legendary. I challenge Okowa to tell Delta people the source of his wealth which I know he cannot. They are stolen wealth from Delta.
He Can’t Eat His Cake & Have It
I see reasons with the reflection of this online commentary on Okowa as he recently incorporated a bank with his family and friends, Premium Trust Bank can get the choice location opposite Delta State Secretariat, Myriam Babangida Way, near the Central Bank of Nigeria, Asaba as key branch office, the branch of the bank at Airport Road, near Delta Career College, Warri as well.
Okowa instructed Delta State Accountant General to direct that all leading accounts in the MDA’s across Delta state be moved to Premium Trust Bank, his family bank.
Now The Backlash
Okowa’s government had applied for a loan facility of N150 billion from a consortium of banks. This was signed, sealed and ready to be delivered until the word went out that all accounts have been instructed to be moved to Premium Trust Bank, which was not a part of the lending consortium.
Pay Back
They moved so quickly to unscramble the loan deal that Okowa has been lost in high waters. They have asked Okowa and his administration to approach Premium Trust Bank for the facility since they now hold all the major accounts of the state government.
As new miracle bank, Premium Trust Bank does not have such funds and cannot expose self to such political risk. Now the banks resolved not to be exposed anymore to any credit arrangement with the Delta State Government until end of Okowa’s tenure.
