Nigeria is the only country in the world that is very comfortable exporting natural gas, condensate, and crude oil and then go and import refined petrol, diesel and kerosene at higher prices from those countries that imported the crude oil, condensate, and natural gas from Nigeria.
Nigeria produces natural gas that is used to power electricity and factories in other foreign countries and yet there is no stable electricity. Nigeria is comfortable with importing generators from China. What works in other foreign countries doesn’t work in Nigeria.
Nigerian politicians are so heartless and wicked to the extent they render our health sector useless, render our education system useless, and then go overseas to enjoy the medical facilities they deprive their people of benefitting. They send their children to the United Kingdom, US, and Canada to study after rendering our education system useless. They don’t care if all the universities are closed for 100 years as far as their children are in foreign developed countries studying.
Nigeria is the only country where thugs/touts and misfits are rewarded with government appointments as Special Assistants/Special Advisers to governors. Nigeria is the only country where thugs/touts are voted as lawmakers to make laws. Nigeria is the only country where thugs/touts are governorship candidates of major political parties.
Is Nigeria really practicing democracy? The Nigerian democracy is worse than in past military administrations. Nigeria is the only country that is borrowing to pay the salaries of idle politicians and their Aides. A few days ago, a friend told me that it is useless sending children to universities to study and that after graduating the only jobs available are commercial Keke and Motorcycle riding.
A situation where politicians use government money as family wealth. With impunity, Okowa is using state borrowed money in financing Atiku’s campaign. According to Dr. Emmanuel Ojameruaye, ” I saw on Channels TV yesterday that he (Okowa) was welcomed back from Abuja as a “hero” for clinching the VP slot to Atiku, notwithstanding that Delta state will now be the ATM for the Atiku’s campaign, and South-South leaders and other South-South governors now see him as a traitor!
“Is there anything being done to prevent the use of Delta state treasury to fund the Atiku/Okowa campaign?” No wonder Fela Ransome Kuti prophesied in his album that Nigeria is UPSIDE DOWN in 1976.
