My crusade is to ensure Governor Ifeanyi Okowa doesn’t mortgage Delta state further. He should be stopped from handing over Delta as a family estate to his stooge, Sheriff Oborevwori.
Okowa’s deliberate imposition of Ese Gam on Urhobo as President General of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) was part of his desperation to perfect his political cabal from crumbling in an election circle when the governorship race has most of the candidates from Delta Central based on rotation.
The UPU leadership of Ese Gam has done what it was imposed by Okowa to do. They have undermined collective bargaining in Urhobo to endorse PDP in all the elections including the Delta governorship taking place on March 11, 2023.
Whoever is not tired of Delta PDP administration in Delta is an April fool and will continue to be a fool. I saw this coming and made a public statement on it. PDP endorsements by inducements should be thrashed into the dustbin.
Ese Gam and co are members of Okowa’s stomach infrastructure-induced clan of praise singers and image launderers. Who did this PDP imposed Ese Gam consult in Urhobo before making this claim of Urhobo endorsing PDP candidates?
By the UPU constitution, traditional rulers have no input in leadership selection/election and running of UPU. They have reduced selves to public servants on the payroll of any sitting governor.
The only Urhobo traditional ruler that rejected government interference in his kingdom was HRM Benjamin Okumagba, Orosue of Okere Urhobo-Warri Kingdom. He refused to take a staff of office from the Delta state government and insisted that kings are elected by their own people and should not be appointed by the government.
Urhobo traditional rulers have reduced selves to a bunch of yes-men to any sitting governor. For UPU to be strong, it should exclude traditional rulers who should remain in their respective domains to be conferring chieftaincy titles on their subjects or friends of their respective palaces.
They have nothing meaningful to add to the well-being of UPU. Ese Gam and his Okowa-imposed executive should be ashamed of themselves. They don’t have the mandate of Urhobo people to speak for Urhobo. Ese Gam and co can only speak for partisan selves, families, and their paymaster, Okowa, and PDP where they are card-carrying members.
It is only a heartless and cruel person that will allow Okowa to impose a stooge on Delta. I appeal to all ethnic nationalities, all registered voters in Delta not to allow Okowa to impose a stooge as successor in Delta.
Okowa doesn’t mean well for Delta. He bankrupted Delta before quitting the stage for retirement on May 29, 2023. Delta should be ready to organize a retirement party for Okowa in prison as of May 29, 2023, when he will no longer enjoy immunity.

The Urhobos should be wise and do the needful. This man disregarded the UPU when Urhobo candidates were screened and UPU came up with Edevbie. But he went and imposed his own candidate on the party. The Urhobos should not allow a non Urhobo to destroy the UPU.
