Zamfara State Government has received a total of 65, 982 doses of Moderna vaccine.
The Chairman of the State Taskforce on Covid-19 and Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Nasiru Magarya expressed commitment to work hard for the successful vaccination of the people.
According to him, the state government has built a befitting facility for the treatment of the Covid-19 patients.
The Speaker stressed that the taskforce committee has exhausted the first consignment of the AstraZeneca vaccines.
He reiterated the determination of the state government under the leadership of Governor Bello Matawalle to give all necessary support to the COVID-19 vaccination.
The Taskforce committee chairman also promised to pursue the state government to provide necessary cooling system at the state drugs and medical store.
“We shall ensure the provision of modern cooling system at the drugs and medical store for proper storage of vaccines and other drugs brought to the state,” he added.
Also speaking, a leader of the federal delegation, Dr. Namadina Lawal commended the state government for effective mobilisation for the first phase vaccination of AstraZeneca vaccines.
He said the successes recorded contributed immensely to the release of second phase consignment to the state.
He appealed to the state government to hasten the provision of modern cooling system at the drugs and medical store.
