YBNL boss, Olamide aka Baddo Sneh has jokingly threatened to leak Fireboy DML’s third album.
In a tweet, the YBNL boss wrote: “I’ve had Fireboy 3rd album with me since October 2021 and I’m tired of listening to it alone.. if you have his number, kindly call him n let him know I’m gonna leak it if he no pick next single n let’s drop album.”
Fireboy DML, who is Baddo’s protégé, signed under YBNL record label replied and announced the release date of the forthcoming album.
The 26-year-old afrobeats singer tweeted: “Next single next month! Third album before summer!”
In 2021, during an interview, Fireboy revealed his label boss, Olamide, leaked his hits song ‘Peru.’
He explained that he had recorded the song but had no plans to release it so soon.
According to him, he was in the studio one afternoon when Olamide contacted him and asked if he could leak the song.
Fireboy said:“A couple of days after recording Peru, Baddo called me and was like ‘since you’re not ready to drop any single for your fans, we might as well just leak it’.
I was in the studio recording and I was like ‘do anything you want, it’s fine. I didn’t take him seriously and I woke up to the song on YouTube and here we are.”
