The candidate of the All Progressive Congress in the just concluded Anambra state gubernatorial elections, Andy Uba has refused to withdraw his petition against Charles Soludo at the Tribunal on the grounds that he has enough evidence to prove that the election result was manipulated in favour of Soludo.

This was confirmed by the Deputy Director of Uba’s campaign organisation. And this is why his refusal might end up to be his own Undoing.

Since the conclusion of the Anambra state gubernatorial elections, a lot of people have appealed to Uba to accept the outcome of the results but, he has refused. His kinsmen even threatened to deal with him if he decides to go to court and challenge Soludo’s victory at the polls. Still yet, he did not listen.

Uba’s refusal to accept the outcome of the election has turned him into a villain in the eyes of his people. Many of them believe that the election was free and fair and Uba’s conspiracy theory of rigging is nothing but a figment of Uba’s imagination.

If Uba fails to defeat Soludo at the Tribunal, he would lose the respect of those who have implored him to sheathe his sword and work together with Charles Soludo. Also, he may likely lose his relevance in the state; something he can avoid if he agrees to concede defeat and work together with Soludo.

Truth be told, the likelihood of Andy Uba emerging victorious at the Tribunal at the expense of Charles Soludo is minimal and unlikely to happen. And from all indications, he is most likely to lose again.

Based on this, it will be his own undoing if he decides to go ahead with his plan rather than conceding defeat and working together with Soludo.
