We remain committed to promoting agriculture and ensuring food security in Ogun State and across the country. At the launch of the N500 billion Produce for Lagos Offtake Guarantee Fund held in Lagos, we joined other forward-thinking governors to sign a Memorandum of Understanding in support of this bold agricultural initiative.
As part of our efforts in Ogun State, we have deployed the Farmers’ Information Management System — a digital platform with over 160,000 registered farmers — to track farm activities, streamline input distribution, and tackle food inflation through data-driven interventions.
We also used the opportunity to call on the Federal Government to replicate such funding models nationwide. A sovereign Food Guarantee Fund, as championed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, would revolutionize the agricultural landscape, boost productivity, and curb the exploitative practices of middlemen that worsen food prices.
Ogun State is ready, our farmers are prepared, and we are working — not just to grow food, but to grow hope.
