In today’s world, where information flows at an unprecedented pace, the responsibility of ensuring the safety and well-being of a society has become a shared endeavor. *This is especially true in Delta State, Nigeria, where the government alone cannot shoulder the burden of safeguarding its people. The call to action is clear: we must come together as one community, bridging the gap between the government and its citizens, to address crucial issues such as security information and intelligence, moral values instillation in our youth, domestic abuse reportage, and the menace of violence against individuals.

Delta State belongs to all its residents, and its prosperity or challenges are shared by each one of us. Complaining alone achieves little. Instead, let’s channel our energy and determination towards creating a safer and more caring society.

Shared Responsibility for Security Information and Intelligence:

Security is a collective effort that requires vigilance and cooperation from both the government and its people. By actively sharing critical security information and intelligence, we can help law enforcement agencies stay ahead of potential threats. It’s crucial to remember that the safety of our communities directly impacts our own lives and those of our loved ones. It’s in our best interest to be proactive in this regard.

Instilling Moral Values in Our Youth:

Our youth are the future of Delta State, and instilling them with strong moral values is an investment in our collective future. We must take responsibility for guiding and mentoring our young ones, teaching them the importance of respect, empathy, and tolerance. By doing so, we can foster a generation that contributes positively to our society.

Domestic Abuse Reportage:

Domestic abuse is a deeply concerning issue that often goes unreported due to fear or lack of support. We, as a community, must encourage victims to come forward and report these crimes without fear of reprisal. Additionally, we should establish support networks and resources to help survivors heal and rebuild their lives.

Tackling Violence Against Persons:

Violence against individuals, whether physical, emotional, or psychological, is an affront to the values we hold dear. As a community, we must unite against any form of violence, supporting victims and holding perpetrators accountable. This includes addressing issues such as gender-based violence, harassment, and discrimination.

Being Our Brother’s Keeper:

The saying, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” reminds us of our shared responsibility for one another. We must extend a helping hand to those in need, offering support, compassion, and understanding. Together, we can create a more inclusive and caring society where no one is left behind.

The Role of Faith-Based Organizations and Civil Societies:

Faith-based organizations and civil societies play a vital role in promoting awareness and advocating for change. The platform created by Comrade Victor Ojie, known as Wong Box, is a prime example of how individuals and groups can come together to champion the rights of Deltans. By joining forces, they can share crucial security information, promote moral values, and address pressing social issues.

In conclusion, Delta State’s challenges require a unified response. We cannot afford to “burn our father’s house because of a rat inside” or “throw away the baby with the bathwater.” Instead, we must take action now, collectively and as individuals, to build a safer, more caring, and prosperous Delta State.

Together, we can make a significant impact and turn our state into a global village where knowledge truly is power, and unity is our strength. Join the movement, be a part of the change, and let us shape a better future for Delta State.
