Uber has pledged to invest R5 billion ($300 million) in South Africa, targeting mobility, delivery services, and the growth of its digital platform.
Some of the funding will be used to expand services such as Uber Moto, support electric vehicle adoption, and build solutions tailored to local needs in South Africa.
The company is also helping township businesses by digitizing operations and forming partnerships to improve access to e-commerce and delivery logistics.
The investment is intended to increase earning opportunities for drivers, delivery partners, and small businesses, while contributing to job creation.
