Currently, the Yoruba separatist activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has finally been released from protective custody in the Republic of Benin.
A reliable source quoted the Yoruba Nation leader, Prof. Banji Akintoye, on Sunday as saying that Igboho’s release was carried out a “few hours ago.”
It was gathered that, Igboho was already on his way to Germany, his destination before he was arrested and put in protective custody.
Recalling that Igboho fled Nigeria in 2021 when operatives of the Department of State Service, DSS, stormed his residence in Ibadan, in a bid to arrest him.
