Ahead of the 2023 governorship race in Delta state, supposed flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sheriff Oborevwori has just been fired by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja in a ruling today, July 7, 2022.
The PDP candidate was still rejoicing over previous court victories on other similar cases over his questionable candidacy when today’s court ruling disqualifying him went viral with the court giving David Edevbie, first runner up in the Delta PDP guber primary the leverage to now bear the party ticket.
The court ruled Oborevwori not qualified and an aberration to contest in the first place and rendered all votes cast for the incumbent Delta State House of Assembly Speaker null and void and of no effect.
Oborevwori is expected to appeal the judgement with legal analysts describing his chances of upturning the situation as “very slim” based on the burden of evidence against him.
..what a funny day for the wise men!
We Moove!
