Tinubu to Launch World’s Largest Cotton Factory in Ogun State, Says Governor Abiodun

President Tinubu is set to perform the groundbreaking ceremony for what is expected to be the world’s largest cotton and polyester processing factory in Ogun State, as announced by Governor Dapo Abiodun CON. The factory, under the “Renewed Hope Cotton Resurgent Initiative,” will be located at the Gateway International Airport Special Agro Processing Zone in Iperu/Ilisan and will cover 400 hectares, creating around 250,000 jobs daily. The location was chosen for its strategic infrastructure and access to raw materials.

Governor Abiodun also mentioned ongoing infrastructure developments in the area, including roads, schools, and a mother-and-child hospital. The Nigerian Air Force plans to establish a base there for added security. The governor praised Mrs. Oluwatoyin Madein, former Accountant General of the Federation, for her service and contributions to the state’s development. Local leaders acknowledged the significant improvements in Iperu, transforming it into a modern town.
