According to the CCB, the president-elect, Bola Tinubu; the vice president-elect, Kashim Shettima and all 28 incoming governors must declare their assets before May 29.

Senators-elect and their House of Representatives counterparts are expected to declare their assets before June 5, the date for their swearing in.

The Spokesperson for the Bureau, Mrs Veronica Kato disclosed this in Abuja over the weekend while maintaining that asset declaration as an integral part of the swearing-in ceremony and all elected officials are to abide to it especially the president-elect.

However, the CCB spokesperson revealed that several other elected officials have started picking their assets declaration forms at bureau’s state offices nationwide but the president-elect is yet to do so.

In line with the 1999 constitution, outgoing officials, including presidential aides, 28 state governors and their cabinet members, National Assembly and state assembly members and local government chairmen are expected to equally obtain the assets declaration forms from the CCB and submit the same.
