THE SOLUDO REVOLUTION: UNDERSTANDING SIGNIFICANCE OF RULES NUMBER 13 AND 14

General Normal Schwarzkopf, who led the coalition forces in the Gulf War, once shared a story about his first experience when he came to work at the Pentagon. He said he went to his superior to find out what to do. His superior asked him, what’s rule 13? Gen Schwarzkopf answered, when placed in charge, take command. His superior asked, have you taken command? Yes Sir! Gen Schwarzkopf replied. His superior looked at him and said that’s great, then, what’s rule 14? Schwarzkopf answered, Do What’s Right.

The foregoing succinctly explains the rule of life. Rule 13 and 14 is a mantra everyone must adopt in life if you wish to succeed in any endeavour. You must take charge and do the right thing always

Why do countries fail, why do businesses crumble, why do development and growth elude communities? Because those in-charge never actually took charge and also refused to do the right thing! Leadership failure!

Today, everyone is singing the praises of Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia and other developed world for the massive development you find in these countries. These development did not come by happenstance. People took charge and did the right thing.

Yet, these developments have continously eluded other countries because the people failed to take charge and also refused to do the right thing.

Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, Anambra State Governor-elect has shown in action and deed that he would take charge and do the right thing as a leader with the full support and cooperation of all. Obviously this is the opportunity we have all been waiting for.

A bold and purpose-driven leader who will revolutionize the system in terms of development for the betterment of all. A leader that will set in motion changes that will transform and make our lives better.

That is the Soludo revolution!! (Development! Development!! Development!!!)

Therefore let’s keep alive rule 13 and 14 as the Soludo revolution beckons!!
