The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Mrs. Olubusola Abidakun has warned residents in the State, especially those seeking employment in the State Teaching Service to be wary of fake recruitment advertisements on social media platforms.
Responding to a publicised notice on social media platforms which was supposedly issued by the Commission, Abidakun reiterated that the claim by the directive of “Ad Hoc Teachers” is alien to the Teaching Service, adding that there is no one by the name, Otufodurin R.T, the signatory to the fake notice in TESCOM.
She also pointed out that the said Otufodurin R.T., who allegedly signed the document on behalf of a Tutor General/Permanent Secretary (TG/PS), did not specify which of the six TG/PS gave such a directive.
The Permanent Secretary maintained that the recruitment exercise into the Teaching Service is done only through the employment portal of the Commission, imploring those seeking employment in the Teaching Service of the State Government to wait for an official announcement regarding the application process which will be done strictly through its official portal.
She warned job seekers to be wary of fraudsters as the Lagos State Government does not do clandestine recruitment, advising that no one should give money to anyone, as employment in the Public Service is based on merit.
