Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson has said he remained hopeful and optimistic about achieving victory in the last local government election, despite Governor Godwin Obaseki manipulating everything.
The diaspora boss Ekpetika said this during his thank-you visit to Okpella Zone, who unanimously voted for him in the just concluded edo state Etsako East local government council election.
Reflecting on the challenges in the build-up to the 2023 local government election, Sunny Ekpetika recounted his concerns about the purported plans of Obaseki to write results. Noting that he had previously sought wisdom and guidance from APC leaders and Okpella Zone.
During his visit to Okpella, Sunny Ekpetika thanked the Ogiamila of Okpella, High Chief Joshua Ogene, Director-General of his campaign, Prince Haruna Afegbua (Bombay) describing them as great leaders and the entire Okpella Kingdom.
He expressed his commitment to fulfilling his promises made during his campaigns and appealed for prayers from the citizens of the zone to ensure progress and stability in the Etsako East when he finally took over.
