..Says Gov Oborevwori leading by example.
Resilience, inestimable love, unity and discipline flowing from Delta State convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Saturday, has indeed expanded the winning supremacy of the ruling party in future elections.
Director General of Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Dr Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe while speaking to newsmen at the PDP State Convention, assured that the party is well positioned under governor Sheriff Oborevwori pragmatic leadership to relegate all opposition parties to the background of political history in 2027 general elections.
He noted that PDP in the state is determined to do the needful to keep Deltans united, progressive and prosperous through the good governance strides of the state governor, as can be seen from mega projects embarked upon by the State government, adding that opposition parties still have lot to learn from the ruling PDP in the state.
Oghenesivbe, said the party leader in the state and governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, is leading by example and the entire party structure and political appointees are queuing solidly behind him to bring about quality dividends of democracy to the good people of Delta State as encapsulated in his MORE agenda.
The DG, State Orientation and Communications Bureau, thanked and commended the good people of the state for supporting Governor Oborevwori, saying that Deltans are very happy with the enviable performance of their governor who daily has been working round the clock, and will continue to work round the clock to deliver on his electioneering campaigns promises to the people.
“As you can see, the state Congress of PDP in Delta State went well, very orderly and no rancour of any kind whatsoever.
“Our leader and governor, Elder Sheriff Oborevwori is a core Democrat and his wealth of experience is playing out well, and we are very happy about is pragmatic and visionary leadership in Delta State.
“As the saying goes, when the head is good, the entire body functions perfectly, that’s what played out today at the PDP State Congress in Delta State, and it will certainly flow into 2027 general election.
“As a state and government, we are setting a new pace in service delivery, and governor Oborevwori is focused on mega projects, especially in the area of roads infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, education, science and technology, jobs and wealth creation for our teeming youths and women, and many more.
Governor Oborevwori is indeed a super role model and mentor, we are emulating his good governance strides.
“My humble appeal to Deltans is that we must continue to pray for our governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and his family, pay our taxes as at when due, and be law abiding citizens, so that we can assist the governor to Advance Delta,” Oghenesivbe said.
Oghenesivbe congratulated the new state Party Chairman, High Chief Solomon Arenyinka, describing him as a political colossus, who over the years contributed in no some measures to the growth of the party, assuring that Chairman Areyinka Will take the party to greater heights, building on the enviable legacies of immediate past Chairman, Chief Barr Kingsley Esiso.
He also congratulated all elected state Exco members of the party, and assured that the state Publicity Secretary of PDP, Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu, shall do well to project the party in good light.
